TRT Arredo is a furniture manufacturing and architectural design company focused on curating extraordinary spaces. But before beautiful spaces come to life, there’s always that first step: the consultation. And that first step? It needed work. I designed a brief collection tool, letting clients share their design preferences before the first call.
CONTEXT: THE CHALLENGE
For TRT Arredo, the existing consultation process worked, but it wasn’t exactly efficient. Every new client inquiry involved a physical site visit within 3 days, just to gather basic information: budget, preferences, timeline. The kind of stuff you could collect in a 10-minute online form. The whole workflow was heavily dependent on showing up in person for what was essentially just a discovery conversation.
The goal here was to automate and digitize this process, which would in turn help save time and cut down operational costs. By moving this initial discovery phase online, we could shift the brand perception from a traditional, manual operation to a tech-forward, high-end architectural design firm.

This wasn't just about moving the process online. It was about designing a discovery experience that felt as elevated as TRT's actual work. We structured the initial discovery into a guided, visual flow — something that felt like a premium concierge service rather than a generic intake form. RESULTS & IMPACT
The new consultation flow improved both the client and internal experience. By moving the discovery phase to the website, we transformed TRT’s operations.
Time Reclaimed: What used to take multiple days to coordinate a visit, go to the client’s site and gather information now happens entirely online, in minutes.
Better Leads: The TRT team stopped going into meetings blind. Instead of arriving with a blank notebook and a long list of questions to work through, they were walking in with the client’s mood board, a budget range, a clear sense of the client's style, and photos of the actual space.
Brand Elevation: TRT Arredo went from a high-end architectural design firm with a very traditional onboarding experience, to a firm that felt tech-forward modern and intentional at every touchpoint.
RETROSPECTIVE
Just in case you're wondering why this case study felt pretty short — honestly, I was thinking the same thing while working on it. But, I guess that's kind of the point.
Sometimes the most sophisticated solution isn't a complex system. It's just a well-designed flow that asks the right questions in the right order. Simple, and yet it completely shifted how the business operates.
I think we're wired to trust complexity. Like a solution only counts if it was hard to build. So when the answer turns out to be straightforward, it almost feels suspicious. Like you missed something, almost as if simplicity means you didn't think hard enough. But this project reminded me that the most impactful design decisions aren't always the most elaborate ones. Sometimes it's just about removing the friction nobody noticed was there :)
